Tenth Floor Wins Two NEOSA Awards. Bala Thangavelu named 2007 CIO of the Year and Development Team wins IT Team of the Year.
CLEVELAND, OH, December 3, 2007 – Tenth Floor, a national interactive marketing and content management software firm, announced that Bala Thangavelu, CTO, was named 2007 CIO of the Year by the Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA). Additionally, Tenth Floor’s development team received the first annual NEOSA IT Team of the Year award. Acknowledgment was based on IT talent, leadership and accomplishments among small businesses in the Northeast Ohio region. Amid his use of innovation and creativity as CIO to expand core business practices, Thangavelu was also recognized for being able to quantify investments in technology for the company. “We are fundamentally a technology based firm and have made a strong investment in expanding our infrastructure to support clients on a 24x7 / 365 model.” Thangavelu said. “With our new and improved infrastructure, we are consistently able to meet all service level agreements setup between ourselves, and our customers.” Coupled with the CIO of the Year win was the IT Team of Year award, presented to Tenth Floor’s development team. The team has experienced success under Thangavelu’s direction by working in an agile production environment which promotes development in iterations, or short bursts of time, throughout the life-cycle of the project. At the end of each iteration, teams re-evaluate priorities with clients to make sure projects are on point at all stages of development. Tony Pietrocola, President of Tenth Floor said, “Our development team is incredibly talented. Individuals are recognized internally each month for working exceptionally hard or completing especially critical or tough projects. It’s great to see them recognized as a group for their efforts.” About Tenth Floor Contact: |
